Our Venues

The World of Beatrix PotterTM Attraction

Our building has two entrances – Crag Brow (ramp access) and Rayrigg Road (steps). Once inside you can visit the beautiful exhibition which brings to life Beatrix Potter’s 23 magical stories.

We also have a fantastic family-friendly Café, famous for its afternoon tea – everything is freshly baked on a daily basis.

And finally, don’t forget our shop which is a treasure trove of Beatrix Potter gifts and souvenirs.

The Old Laundry Theatre

Our Theatre shares a building with the Attraction and has a fantastic programme of drama, comedy, music, folk and film.

Every autumn, since the Theatre opened in 1992, the theatre has hosted Sir Alan Ayckbourn’s latest play on its world premiere tour straight from Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre.

In the summer months the highly acclaimed Where is Peter Rabbit? show is performed live in the theatre by a cast of six up to 3 times a day. Don’t miss out!

The Laundrama

The Laundrama is our versatile studio space on Rayrigg Road, directly across from our Café entrance. This beautiful space with gold leaf ceiling and chandeliers is the perfect venue for our popular Peter Rabbit Tea Parties, Father Christmas parties and Group dining.

It also transforms in to our Theatre Bistro for evening dinner.

For our popular ‘eat the film’ nights our big screen appears, and we serve fantastic themed suppers. The space can also be converted into cabaret style seating for intimate comedy or music events.
