Group Visits
A visit to the Attraction is a unique experience and is a popular part of a Lake District itinerary for groups from the UK and Overseas. The Attraction offers a warm welcome all year round with generous discounts available to tour operator groups of 15 or more. (Please note this offer is not available to large families who can instead take advantage of our standard family ticket). Also on offer is our popular dining options in the beautiful private Tea Garden based in The Laundrama building, where delicious sweet or savoury afternoon teas are served. There’s also a chance to book a meet and greet photo opportunity with Peter Rabbit in costume, have a lively themed talk with an actress playing Beatrix Potter, or enjoy a personalised free tour of the garden.

Group visits can be paid for on arrival or by invoice afterwards. Please confirm these details when booking. You will only be charged for the actual numbers that attend on the day.
Lakeland tours
If you wish to extend your group’s visit to the area, you can combine your tour to with other Windermere Attractions to include a cruise on the Lake or a ride on a steam train. Our dedicated Groups Manager can book these packages for you.
Rail, Sail and Tail
Our most popular itinerary! The journey starts by steam locomotive on The Lake District’s only standard gauge preserved railway line, through the Leven Valley to the bottom of Lake Windermere. From there, hop on to a boat and sail up the Lake to Bowness where it’s just a short walk to The World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction to complete your Rail, Sail and Tail tour.

Fur, Fin and Fun
Visit the Lake’s freshwater Aquarium and meet the UK’s largest collection of freshwater fish. Watch the otters at play and walk under the lake while the ducks dive above you. Combine your visit with a Lakeland cruise, taking in magnificent scenery, then finish the tour with a visit to The World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction.

Beatrix, Boat and Brockhole (or the ‘3 Bs’)
A very popular tour with School Groups which combines a visit to The World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction with a boat trip and a visit to the Lake District National Park Visitor Centre at Brockhole set in stunning Edwardian grounds on the shores of Lake Windermere – an excellent place to picnic and play games! The cruise between the attractions means you can leave your transport for a while and enjoy the Lake District countryside.

Best of Bowness
A popular group tour, combining a cruise on Lake Windermere – taking in the magnificent scenery of mountains, islands and sailing boats – with a visit to the Attraction. The 45-minute islands tour is available every half hour and a private boat can be arranged for groups of 30 or more.
