FAQs

Do you offer refunds or exchanges for ticketed events?

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for our World of Beatrix Potter Attraction or Old Laundry Theatre events.

What exactly is there to do and see?

Inside our Attraction building, we have a takeaway cafe, shop and toilets which you can visit with an entry ticket. The ‘Attraction’ is a paid-for exhibition of Beatrix Potter’s 23 stories brought to life in 3 dimensions with sound, lighting, scents and touch screens. There is also a small outside show garden which is part of the exhibition. We recommend 40 minutes to enjoy your self-guided tour.
The Attraction shares a building with The Old Laundry Theatre and in the summer months, families can enjoy Peter Rabbit theatre.

Can I visit the shop free of charge?

Yes you can – we have an Attraction shop within the main building an one on the street at the top of our ramp. Each stock a huge selection of Beatrix Potter and Peter Rabbit merchandise!

How long does it take?

We recommend you leave 45 minutes to take your self-guided tour of the Attraction, with extra time to visit the shop and visit our café.

Can I bring my dog?

I’m sorry, we do not allow dogs in the building with the exception of service dogs

Can I buy an Attraction ticket in advance?

Tickets for the Attraction are not available in advance online. Simply buy your ticket from our front desk on arrival.

Can I use my ticket more than once?

Your ticket is for one-time entry into the Attraction – there’s lots to see so take your time and enjoy your self-guided tour. If you think you’d like to visit again soon, we sell a Freedom Pass for a family of four – just £40 for a year and you can visit as many times as you wish within the 12 months.

When is the best time to visit?

Peak times at the Attraction are School holidays, but there is usually a good flow in the Attraction and queues are kept to a minimum. We are often busier and queues can build on wet days! Quieter times are usually when we open at 10am and later in the day.
