Introducing our new General Manager, Stacey McShane

Stacey McShane takes top job at World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction

Directors at the World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction are delighted to announce the appointment of Stacey McShane as the new General Manager.  Stacey, who started her role in May, comes to the job with a wealth of experience, local connections and knowledge of the business having worked her way through the ranks since joining the Attraction as a Centre Assistant in 2000.

Over the last fourteen years, Stacey has worked in all areas of the Attraction, progressing through different roles to a recent management position looking after Groups & Events, before taking responsibility for the staff as Deputy Manager and finally accepting the position of General Manager.

“I am thrilled to have taken on the leadership role at World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction and that in just my second week our Peter Rabbit show garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show won a gold medal!  It has been a fantastic start to what I hope will be a very exciting period with lots to look forward to in the near future and beyond”. Directors of the Attraction, Roger Glossop and Charlotte Scott said: “We are delighted that Stacey has accepted the position of General Manager, and with her expertise and knowledge of Beatrix Potter, the exhibition and all areas of our organisation, we are confident that Stacey will continue to take the business from strength to strength.”

The Attraction, which has recently installed new digital technology throughout and has seen visitor numbers hit an all-time high, has recently been shortlisted as a finalist in the Large Visitor Attraction category of the Cumbria Tourism awards, with results to be announced later this month.
